WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY – Red deer | Testing ground blind from tragopan

I need to be really quiet and any son did just appeared I think was seven meters from me so I just absolutely freezed and then it moved the further away I got to manage one I think one shot I had I'm on my way up a hill around ten minutes and then I can come to a field I'm gonna put up my tragopan which I have here the tent and the ghillie blanket [Applause] so he last year I was there with my chair blind and yeah it was a view right there barking at me so yeah it sticks too much in the air so and I'm guessing this steer here is so much more skittish so but hopefully the hockey blind and the Gillard lankey will camouflage it that much that they won't suspect anything so yeah okay let's go it's a flower I don't know what it's calling this but you can actually eat this little star here so in direct translated from Norwegian is like a forest star so it's kind of sour I'm here now I don't expect you to be right there out now this early but I always have to stay here for a little while and just scan the area in case that there is out in grassing so I think I think I might go down further to the field because I cannot see anything but I have too many trees so I cannot see probably but yeah let's go down and see if I can see some better oh it's so beautiful art no it's so stunning I hope I hope that there will come out today it's opening here I can actually make it or whatever I want have one letter side here and this one here is for my camera to stick out so I can slip it together as well [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] I'm inside this is really small but yeah it's it's not a place if you have a have a thing for small spaces this is not a tent for you but the good thing is that you are not sticking out in the environment at all look at this just looks like a pile of grass that's awesome okay now I'm looking forward to tonight and I'll see you then I'm in high now now it's just the waiting game I have no idea how early the right there comes out there but I'm really sure that they use this field there because I saw a lot of cracks and a lot of feces as well so I am hoping I'm hoping that they will come out but if I'm lucky they can come really close really close and I have really high hopes for this tent and the killer blanket it was blending in so so good indeed and why I run tear herself yeah it should all be good and the winner is also perfect it's blowing directly into the hatch here and behind me and normally that there will come out just outside the field there I got the Sun right in my face was really hard to see now but luckily I got my father in another blind and he has better view and he saw a red in the other side of the field I can't see it now but it's far away I'm not trying to film it and show you guys but hopefully we'll come a closer okay really excited it's still far away so are you seeing the 1.4 converter as well as filming in the 4k cell that I can really get it close with the combination of the 500 millimeter the crop camera the 500 and the 1.4 camera but I hope there will come from there he that those two come closer here or might maybe the other dares come there out from the woods around 30 meters for me that would be the best then I can maybe get some type portrait that well since this still release but tomorrow where I also am around 640 800 and I got a 400 second we just have to wait that is the name of this game now at the forest that I told you part but it was so aware someone I didn't dare do anything with the camera I was in the middle of the field so I think I'm gonna make it settle down maybe she comes back and I got my opportunity so I think that was smart just hold back and then yeah Oh for the opportunity later I don't know whether can hear me but there's one thirty meters from me I need to be really quiet and love any son it's constantly looking up I really hope this way [Laughter] um I'm back in the tent and hide wavin red air today it's really great to have a tent because it's on enough rain so instead of just being wet in a ghillie suit am i comfortable and this is where the proofs oh it's so great to lay here I'm in a different position today because the wind direction is not that good where I was yesterday but now I think a photography wise I think this is a much better place because I have a longer distance to the background and hopefully they will come there in front of me so I can get some shots I didn't get any shots yesterday I got the film though I've not seen any good shots but I hope that will change stay so no I just have to wait and see how it all sterling it's okay I need to be quiet for a while now I talk to you well the action is happen whoa I just had the most most close encounter with a red arrow I was laying F waiting for our cisely that was I think I have been here for four hours but that just hurt not there right outside my tent and suddenly it just appeared I think was seven meters from me so I just absolutely freezed and then it moved further away I got to manage one I think one shot Lauren but I think that was a good shot so yeah I'm happy even though I have to wait a lot but this was awesome yeah now I'm packing it's raining so I need to pack quickly and yeah hope you enjoy this and I will see you next time bye you

  4. Nice one! The hide and ghillie blanket really work well together and give a nice ground level view compared to the fixed hide over the field!
PS: The english name for the tasty flower is chickweed-wintergreen๐Ÿ˜€

  5. Hi Trond, ya, โ€œyou do itโ€ I like to say one thing about this video, and that is, โ€œso cool !โ€ I feel the excitement/joy of your adventure afield. 6. Just found your channel, nice video. I see that you are using the same camera as me(D500) But im using the 200-500, also a great lens and cheap ๐Ÿ™‚ In my experience the teleconverter ruins the sharpness a lot, maybe its different for you with that lens? Cheers.

  7. amazing video and the final image was soo stunning ! well done trond!
Howยดd you like the blind? thinking about getting on for myself =)

  8. Great shot, Trond! I have found that being patient usually pays off in the end. When you find yourself saying, "I think it's time to go.", give it a little more time, that's when the magic usually happens, at least for me.

  9. Great video as always. You show so much passion commitment in your work. 4 hours well spent in lovely countryside and you get a cracking shot as well. thanks for sharing.
