  1. My grandma makes pumpkin pie from actual pumpkins and it’s delicious… altuough it’s actually a pumpkin and sweet potato pie…. but still 😂

  2. I’m confused cuz we always use actual pumpkin to make pumpkin pie, and it tastes fine🤷🏾‍♀️ it’s all in what you put in it🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

  3. When I worked at a grocery store people used sugar pie pumpkins to make pies. They are these little pumpkins that are pretty round.

  4. I use sugar pumpkin to make my pumpkin pies fresh every year. That's a real pumpkin isn't it? Or is everybody lying to me as well???


  6. Pumpkin and squash are both called Calabaza in spanish (may be the same for other languages?) so the idea was probably lost in translation? 👀

  7. He did all this research and never came across the fact that there is literally a pumpkin called a pie pumpkin… Which would have been a much better choice than a field pumpkin.

  8. Yo this hurt my heart dude 😂😭 I have a REAL pumpkin pie literally every year for thanksgiving. I can’t believe they’ve never had one before! I prefer them to store bought pies. But don’t use a field pumpkin. As a few other comments have stated, there are ‘pie pumpkins’ you can buy.

  9. Fenugreek is one of the few legumes that is decent for testosterone. Botanically, pumpkin IS a gourd or squash, related to melons, which are also gourds. You have to use a sugar pumpkin for best results. The stringy bits inside can be used like spaghetti squash, and the seeds roasted. Cucurbits are technically considered a berry.

  10. We always make homemade pumpkin pies using pie pumpkins. But to me they literally taste the same but homemade always tastes a little better.

  12. He is correct, if you use canned pumpkin it doesn't contain pumpkin. But if you do it correctly you use a PIE PUMPKIN.

  13. I'll have you know, I've only had pumpkin pie from my mother. And it is actually pumpkin. She literally just blends the pumpkin. They are literally called a baking pumpkin, or something like that

  15. I haven't finished the video yet, but why didn't Josh use a sugar pumpkin? That's the pumpkin you use when you make a pumpkin pie.

  16. Jack-o-lantern pumpkins aka field pumpkins meant for decoration. Sugar pumpkins or baking pumpkins meant for eatin'. Can also use acorn squash, or butternut squash heck even sweet potatoes to make pie.

  19. I've never heard of people using Jack-o-lantern pumpkins for pumpkin pies. I don't thick they're grown to work for that which is why they don't taste as good or cook as well. There are smaller pumpkins you're supposed to use.
