(48) Acrylic pouring, pour painting wave! Fluid art. acrylic painting Ocean acrylic swipe flow art

hi you guys Molly for Molly's artistry I have tried and tried and tried to do a way for you guys and every time something happens either my phone overheats so we're gonna try again I hope I'm not jinx Donna wait so this is a 14 by 18 canvas I've already mixed my paint and my pouring medium will be down below but I use GAC 1-800 is liquitex pouring medium I use gloss polymer varnish and medium by creative inspirations I use a little bit of PVA glue all and I use um flow trough and then I mix that as a batch and then I mix my paint either 60 40 or 50 50 % or a medium to paint it depends on what I'm doing so these it's okay to be a little bit skinnier skinnier thinner it's okay to be a little bit thinner because I want these to kind of flow as I go look I'm getting paint all over my canvas also I don't know if you guys can see that I have taped off the back just so that it won't be that messy I don't normally do that I'm just doing it today to see if I like it or not normally I like the messy that's on the back because it's part of the painting let me make sure I'm still in video frame there for that okay alright so this is if you look below this is my painting mixture sorry painting mixture that I had done before of house paint and flow withdrawal so you can check out that recipe down below and I'm just going to so this is a thin sided canvas so I just gallery wrapped but I'm not gonna worry about getting my sides because the white will flow over there I'm so I mean I didn't even use this hole this is a 500 mil cup of paint so I didn't even use that whole cup of paint and hopefully this will spread out nicely so I'm just gonna take my popsicle stick get going I like to kind of get a little bit going in the middle and then I like to spread it over my sides and my friend Michelle had a great idea she cuz when she came over one day painting with me she said why are you wasting so much paint when you pour it off she said why don't you just pour it back into the cup if there's no other colors on there so if this is if it's a base coat when I lift it up to pour I try to pour it back into my cup because I definitely will have a lot of paint on here the Sun is starting to shine so I hope that you guys will be able to see this okay alright so let me get my sides going and put my cup back right here put my stick down and so I'll try to do this kind of in frame but you want to kind of you want your paint to be able to flow so see how that flowed really nicely you guys can't see it all but you want your paint to be able to flow off your canvas that's how you get that nice glossy kind of look okay sorry Michelle the rest isn't gonna make it the rest isn't gonna make it I want to make sure I get my edges and over my sides no up this way and for this I can see when it starts to come off the other side so like now I know I'm getting over my sides and then I know you guys can't see this part but I'm just going down this way real quick get these sides okay hey last little bit that was not covered was right up here I'll just make sure that's covered well because this will just be the only paint that will be on that canvas on that side because my weddings gonna come up this way that's it I mean you guys can't really see how glossy that is but that is super glossy and because I put a little bit of gloss in my paints it will stay that way as well but you guys know sometimes you see people and their white paint is lumpy it's because it's too thick and it'll dry that way all right what's that what are you okay and then for my base coat I just come back over and what I'm doing now is just popping any air bubbles that are in there that's all yeah my colors for today I have a mixture of turquoise and liquitex basics light blue yes I do mix my colors mix my brands and each of these Cups has each of these cups has a little bit of one to two drops of silicon in it so I've got I'm doing two pours today so I think for this one I'm gonna stick with the blues and then this turquoise so I have a brilliant blue by artists loft a fellow blue by creative inspirations Payne's grey by creative inspirations and cerulean blue and I might add in I've really been liking this artist loft metallic cobalt blue so I might add a little bit of that as well so I normally start with my darker color down at the bottom and I like these little cups because I can kind of pinch them to pour so I start and that's it right there and then I'll go with a little maybe a little bit lighter color over top of that one it's already starting to react with my house paint that's cool no go up here a little ways but some of the the other blue and you want to cross your lines over you guys because the crossing once I swipe this is the final that's what's really gonna create those cells within cells that have all the little rings of color okay so up here and I've been liking a lot to have this kind of a bigger not so much of a circle when I swipe but to kind of have it look like a crashing wave almost blue get a little bit more the darker color and out there if it goes off the side a little bit no biggie no big deal I think I do want just a little bit of a lighter color so this color right here is down a little bit this color right here is I took ocean breeze and mixed it with white artist loft white and I think this will be a nice little contrast right through there okay I think that's enough paint so now what I'm gonna do I'm gonna come back in with my little palette knives my other palette knife the one that I love I'm gonna start with this one normally if you guys some say this is my palette neck that I normally start with this is the one I use for details this is the one I'm used for the big the big boys okay so I'm just gonna come in my first swipe I'm gonna try to just come off the canvas up here my next swipes in here I will try to make it more of a circular motion look these are already starting to react right here that's so cool okay you guys ready watch what happens nice gentle swipe up to there and then you want to so you guys can't see it but I have a little thing on the side that I'm wiping my knife off each time and look at those little cells start to pop up already beautiful I like its run over the side so that's okay and you're gonna have to go back over some of your cells every now and again that's okay because more will kind of populate through you want to make sure you swipe it down here too cuz you want to get some type of reaction down there as well okay now I'm gonna take my knife wipe it off I'm gonna go up here so this is the part that gets a little bit hard you don't want to swipe so hard that you scrape it off the canvas completely okay and then you want to make sure that you don't get any drips on it as well so a lot that goes into it it looks very very simple but there's actually a lot that goes into it I like what's going on down here but I kind of want to cover the canvas a little bit more right there got your thumb down the side all these little cells in here really beautiful okay so now I think I'm going to come back up this way a little bit just and to create that green into that white right there okay now to use my smaller one when I get closer into the circle because I'm just going to try to drag it so you want to be able to lay it down as close to the surface as possible and then just drag on along like that back to this one because I want to get a big swipe right here supercool sorry if you guys have watched any of my channel you know I say only get excited I like what's happening in here and I like the fact that it's not perfect I love what happened over here I like the little water action cells that are right there love it loving it my next one I'm gonna see if I can get more of an upward motion and a small crest right there but I really really love this one makes me feel like I'm in the water so it's rolling off my sides there that's good I like what's happening here I might take just the tiniest little bit of tissue paper and maybe just I don't know Frank to go down the sides there we go looking good I want to break some of this up right here but I don't want it to feel contrived so makes me feel like I'm in water it's awesome okay this little part right here I'm just gonna drag a little bit of tissue paper up through whatever reaction happens there happens and then right here you're going to give that a little bit more motion so if it's curling up in there I love it I love the motion in there I love that it kind of took over the Blues kind of took over the canvas I liked a little bit of green that showed up right there I'm loving it here I'll take this down and show you guys yay my wave actually worked for once my video at least so take a look at the cells that formed in there and that came from layering look at that cell right there I'm loving it guys sorry I don't know what's happening my camera it's wobbling I love it I hope you guys like it or I'll see you later bye

  4. I usually absolutely hate hate hate the pour paint technique… but this one I actually like. Theres more effort then just pour, and waste paint. The waste I am not a huge fan of no matter what, but at least there was some actual art effort here. Usually people just pour and drip off excess

  5. i don't have the talent but i don't know whenever i watch these kind of videos i feel that i can paint and it is so easy (i know it is not) …it's so good that i wanna paint too , can someone like me paint like this ??? i never tried painting in my life … i don't know if i have the talent , to be honest i don't know if i have any talent , we find a lot of people that can paint others can sing or play music some people can act ..etc but i have no talent i mean i couldn't find mine i searched a lot in me but …. ahh i wonder what is it , can anyone tell what to do and how to find if i have a talent or some people are simply born this way jut to study , graduate, work and that's all

  6. Maybe try using a lazy Susan (rotating surface) .. your circular swipes would be much easier. I've also often seen people using straight icing spatulas.

You did a great job! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Love it!

  7. Hi Molly how r u ..
Can u please tell us what is that substance we must have to add in the mixture to get those many many circles spots in the color, is it that silicon only which r used to make molding dai,? Kindly reply๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’•

  10. You need to put the canvas on a lazy susan for these paintings, so you can turn them and make the knife work easier.

  11. Very nice! I was wondering where you get those stands that your canvas sits on? Could not find them in your Amazon shop. Thanks!

  12. How many drops of silicone did you use in every colour? And did you put some in you white background too? ๐Ÿ˜ its so beautiful!

  17. Very cool.. It seems like there's a lot more cellage going on here than I see in other videos, is that due to your base mix ratio?
